Goldberg Variations is a dia­lo­gue bet­ween a film­ma­ker and

a musi­cian, con­sis­ting of a film and a publi­ca­ti­on, Sourcebook. Based on the epo­ny­mous com­po­si­ti­on by J.S. Bach, first

publis­hed in 1740, the came­ra move­ment and con­cept of edi­ting fol­low the inter­nal struc­tu­re of the musi­cal sco­re,

here per­for­med on the harpsichord.
